Freddie Freeman's Son Returns Home From the Hospital
Dodgers First Baseman Freddie Freeman Returns to the Team
Freeman Missed Eight Days to Be With His Son
Freddie Freeman returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday afternoon after being away from the team for eight days to be with his 3-year-old son, Charlie, who was hospitalized.
Charlie was born with a congenital heart defect and has undergone several surgeries. He was hospitalized last week for a follow-up procedure.
Freeman said that he is grateful to be back with the team and that Charlie is doing well.
"It's been a tough week, but we're all so happy that Charlie is home and doing well," Freeman said. "I'm so grateful to the Dodgers for supporting me and my family during this time."
