Two Killed in Intersection Collision

Porter County Corner Cyndi Dykes has released the names of the victims in the double-fatal motorcycle crash at the intersection of Division and State Road 8 in Porter County on Monday.

Christopher Bernal, 23, of Valparaiso, was riding a 2004 Honda motorcycle on Route 9W North when police say he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and crashed.

The other victim, a 24-year-old woman from Portage, has not yet been identified.

The crash remains under investigation by the Porter County Sheriff's Office.
