Bronny James, the elder son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, has declared for the 2024 NBA draft, he announced on Tuesday.
James played one season for the University of Southern California, where he averaged 12.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He was listed as a 6-foot-4 guard by USC, but most scouts believe he will be listed at 6-foot-3 or possibly smaller in the NBA.
James is considered one of the top prospects in this year's draft. He is a versatile player who can score, rebound, and pass. He is also a good defender and has a strong basketball IQ.
James' decision to enter the draft is not a surprise. He has been projected as a first-round pick for several years. He is likely to be selected in the lottery and could even be a top-five pick.
