Rockingham County Animal Shelter Expands Hours of Operation
Additional Hours to Accommodate Increased Community Need
Wentworth, NC – January 12, 2023
The Rockingham County Animal Shelter has announced expanded hours of operation to better serve the community. Effective immediately, the shelter will be open to the public seven days a week, providing more flexibility for pet adoptions and animal care.
The new hours are as follows:
- Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
The shelter has seen a surge in pet surrenders and adoptions in recent months, leading to the need for extended hours. "We want to make it as easy as possible for families to find their new companions or to surrender animals in need," said Shelter Director Jane Doe.
